eBay Are Honouring Cancelled $99 AirPods Orders

Going from the Airpods 2 $99 deal comments. Many of us were given a false sense of hope after confirming purchase for the $99 airpods for it to get stuck on payment pending and then cancelled.

Just received the following email from eBay;

Update on your attempted $99 AirPods purchase

Hi Valued eBay Plus Member,

We experienced exceptionally high demand for Wednesday’s $99 AirPods deal.
We recognise you received a confusing experience and may have got the impression your order was confirmed. That wasn’t the case and no payment has been processed.
However, as a gesture of goodwill we will be honouring this deal for you. Please look out for an email from eBay next week with further instructions on how to redeem your $99 AirPods.

Edit: I didn't email eBay or speak to anyone in live chat. I got the above email out of the blue.

    Update:
    I also had an error, but no email. Just chatting with an eBay rep now, and he says they won't be honouring the cancelled orders.

      She is saying that demand was very strong, and they were "happy" with the participation.
      They are going to do another round.
      But she doesn't have details, and cannot share it with me.

        She is saying to look at my eBay account (inbox?) for further details.

        Again, says won't be honouring the previous purchase attempt.

        edit: says go on the eBay homepage, and look around.
        Rep seems like doesn't want to help out. Sorry folks, gave it a shot.

    I also got the email. Perhaps it was only for people that genuinely got in on time but experienced the processing issue like I did.

    The airpods actually appeared in my 'Purchased' items list for about 10min after the deal ended, but then disappeared. I took a screengrab just incase something went wrong.

    Then out of the blue I received the email today saying they will honour the purchase, so pretty happy with that.

      I think so too, mine was the same was stated you have purchased the item and then it was gone when I check them later..

    Did you guys get the email because first you got the message “Thanks your order was placed!”, then “Order was not successful, order cost has not been included in the total amount” in red banner?
    I don’t have the email and that happened to me on the first round on the 1st of June, not the 900 drops one two days ago

    LOL got cancelled twice from previous deals and they refused to honour the purchases. Didn't try this time then they are honouring it. Hahahaha

      I'd say most people have. When I got mine recent purchases on the item was 200+. Now saying low stock.

        It's generic but it's tied to the account (if you check your summary there's a spot for coupon codes)

    They did in fact send through the message with the code and i have bought the item.

    Well I didnt get the email. they said I wasnt part of this so called list.
    even though I got the order confirmation that my order went through.
