      Think the soft drink cost turns out to be the same as Woolies home brand cola (0.70c/L) excluding the initial cost. Anyone can vouch if the taste is better than no-frills (home brand) cola?

        I use bickford cordials, tropical and rasberry are my preffered ones for fizzing up, i feel lemon lime and bitters leaves an odd aftertaste.

        The main benefit is being able to lower your ratio for a bit weaker syrup mix.

        If that appeals to you and you are the kinda person to go out of their way to get the co2 refill cannisters, then it is a good purchase.

  I have one of these, on my 4th CO2 cylinder and going strong. Love it.
  Recommend getting at least 3 bottles and 2 cylinders so you always have cold water ready and a cylinder to swap while you find the time to refill.
  Also, do a 1sec squirt first, wait 1 sec then another 2secs until back release. The pause helps stop liquid bubbling up into the release and spilling out.
  Sodaking is also Australian Owned!
