Which telcos currently have Australian based technical and account support?

I'm shopping around for mobile plans and my preference is to go with a telco with Australian based technical and account support. Are there any? Thanks :)

I was with cmobile. But their service wasn't that great tbh.

You don't need to worry about Australian based support, if they connection is great and you never need to contact them.

Unfortunately none. All major telcos are outsourced to India. Any questions not stated in the operational manual these call centres would have no clue. All they can do is to escalate, that means email to the onshore team to assist. As everything is outsourced offshore, telcos only have a small onshore team, that means slow response. These days everyone wants cheap rates and more data. The only way telco can keep up the cut throat rate is to outsource to countries which have cheaper labour rate. That is why customer services are so bad these days.

Aussie Broadband is a Telstra mobile reseller with Australian-based support. Internode used to have Australian support, but I don't know if that's still the case.

I was with moose mobile previously. They have a Melbourne based support team.

  • Mate NBN also has Australian support for mobile, but you need to have NBN with them to get access to their mobile offering.

  • Internode is Adelaide based.
