TV Size for SD ?

I currently have a Panasonic 40 inch tv from the late 2000s. It hasn’t missed a beat.
But I’m wanting something bigger to watch AFL and for when I stream from Netflix and Stan.

A lot of my viewing is your normal Foxtel channels - History,
Nat Geo and Crime m, Sky etc.

I’ve heard if I get a 65 inch those stations will look awful.
Is it a bad idea to get a 65 inch TV if I’m going to be viewing Foxtel or this this the right balance between my HD stuff (AFL, Netflix) and Sd content in Foxtel?

Depends how far away from the screen you sit.

If you watch the HD FTA channels, HD Foxtel channels and watch HD Netflix/Stan/YouTube then the 65 inch screen should be be fine.

Why don't you have the HD package with Foxtel anyway?

How much SD material do you watch?

It's time to upgrade to HD/4K and ditch SD. Well worth it and would make a 60"+ TV worth the purchase.

  • I have Foxtel HD. But that doesn’t mean all the stuff is HD right? Like Crime. But the others are so should be ok on 65. Would you advise against 75?
