Seems to be a new deal only for the 1TB Silver T7 Touch product. Has been on sale this month, but another $30 drop V's the Black 1TB Touch which is @ $329. RRP for the T7 Touch 1TB is $439 so huge introduction for the new products.

    • Got 5% pricebeat but the confirmation arrived quite late. Seems they need additional approval as price difference is above 25%

    • Could you inbox me a photo of your receipt so I can encourage pricematching at my store?

  • for about the same price it is better to get a M.2 970 EVO 1tb + separate 10Gbps enclosure (circa $250+$50); three times the speed of this samsung SSD.

    • Show us where you can get a 970 EVO 1TB for $250?

Amazon US AU$293 + free delivery with Prime + $42 cashback from Samsung = $251

I'm sure you are aware, these are a plug and play device so people dont need a hard drive….. I get these 'solutions' always pop up, buy the 'normal' consumer, will see the comment and have no idea……

Might be 3 times, but for a PC thats needed….. for a Storage device, its not. Plus most 'host' devices wont computer an external device that fast THUMBS UP

          Thanks Aussie, math checks out

And thanks Icedog, all good points

    • I could be wrong, the 970 EVO 1TB is only max 3,400MB/s Seq. Read. So would be similar to this T7 drive. No?

Edit: scratch that. I was wrong. Looked at wrong spec sheet.

    • actually, at second look, 10Gbps is only equivalent to ~1250MB/s. So you would actually cripple the 970 evo to 1/3 of its potential by doing that.
