There has been months of under supply and sold out shelves, driving up prices of new and second hand IT gear due to so many people working from home.
Sellers need sufficient stock to run a sale, else people on ozbargain make comments about going to ACCC. So if they don't have much stock, and it's selling well at inflated pricing, I wouldn't expect many EOFY sales to clear old stock that doesn't exist.

there seem to be very few end of financial year deals this time around. Do you agree?
There's a whacky conspiracy theory going around that it's all due to this coronavirus pandemic. Crazy, I know!
If Harvey is already up 20% (as I believe was reported in the media), why would he clear stock off at low margin/no margin/loss, only to then next year have to provide numbers that show a drop in business from FY 19/20, providing a "decline" in business rather than a "return to normality after people were buying crazily".
Hardly a conspiracy - just an element of logic. If they were moving stock with little bargaining and made more money than they were expecting, why not just use what suppliers (ie: Google, Microsoft, that Acer Swift 5 that's hundreds of dollars off everywhere at the moment) to get EOFY done?

COVID really buggered up everything… though I did get some good deals from Amazon Australia. Currently they got free shipping (spend $49+) from Imported goods from the US, which is great… got some good snow gear imported from the USA.
Given the global shortages in tech due to COVID i would say that EOFY Tech sales are going to be few and far between this year
