I remember some time back when Maccas had an offer that went like this. If you didn't like your coffee they would give you another free of charge. LOL .. :-) .. !!
Sounds like a good way for their baristas to get some practice, I'd say the ratio is about 5 bad coffees for every good one.
Surprisingly some Maccas baristas are interested in pushing out consistently good quality coffees to their customers, whilst others really don't give a damn at all. It's really just luck of the draw when you go to different stores hahah
i find the quality varies within the same store. with burgers, sometimes i get the perfectly-made burger where all the buns, patties and cheese are lined up and it looks better than the photo. another day, it looks like it was put together by the drunk/junkie who hangs outside the store.
Yep I had one of the best coffees I've ever tasted at McDonalds Innaloo (if you're in Perth). But I've also had 50 very average McCafe Coffees.
Yep, same experience from me. Last 3 times were horrendous, not sure what's happening. Will be asking for another cup if I ever get one again.

Prefer HJ's coffee (also $2 for med, $3 for large). Done by a machine, it's consistently average-good and better than a lot of local baristas.
I wholeheartedly disagree, not a coffee snob in any way but HJ's coffee is one of the worst I've tasted, even a mediocre one from Macca's beat them any day.
Could just be the store I go to, I haven't tried the coffee at another HJs
HJ is not Barista made as far as I'm aware. Mine certainly came from the machine.
On Saturday it let me use this offer for a hot chocolate. Today not so lucky.

I was sceptical about Maccas coffee but the ones at my local one are actually incredibly good (but they are not cheap).
Also, what KPIs? How can they have KPIs, it's impossible to predict customer numbers.
Wish it included hot chocolate.

Although I find Maccas coffee can vary from worse than a servo coffee, to (rarely) even better than your average local barista.
