    David Jones had some awesome sets including Assembly Square listed tonight but now all sold out. Really bummed but hopefully can get it from Target instead

        I wouldn't say it's any more popular than any of the other best-selling sets of late that have been heavily featured on OzBargain (i.e. VW Camper Van, VW Beetle, Roller Coaster, Porsche 911 GT3 RS & 911 RSR, Hogwarts Castle, UCS Millennium Falcon, etc.) but it just happens to be one of the Lego Creator modular buildings that's still in production (most of the other past best sellers such as the Town Hall, Parisian Restaurant, Brick Bank and Downtown Diner haven't been seen in stores in a long time) and that has been aggressively discounted in recent months. Since OzBargain is host to a sizeable AFOL (Adult Fans of Lego) demographic and it's typically these AFOLs that upvote most of the Lego deals, you'll see a lot of favouritism towards the larger, more expensive AFOL-oriented sets (such as the Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Series, the flagship Technic and Lego Creator Expert themes) but that doesn't necessarily reflect their popularity amongst the general public and wider Lego consumer demographic (i.e. parents and kids).

        In terms of design, construction and features, the Assembly Square is also amongst many Lego AFOL's Top 10 or Top 20 lists for best sets of the decade.

          Thanks for the awesome reply, man! I totally understand the appeal of the technic sets (marketed towards adults/look more like a scale model than lego) or the large star wars sets (nostalgic/quirky), and I'm also an architect so I absolutely adore the architecture series. But yeah, even with your reply I just don't see what someone gets out of this particular set. I assume you probably wouldn't buy this unless you already had or were planning on buying a 2nd modular building set? From my perspective that would be what's needed to take this particular set from 'lego buildings' to 'ok now we have something spicy cooking!'.

          Alternatively, I'm actually clueless about the appeal of lego to adults, and it's actually the act of building this set that is particularly worthwhile, and displaying the finished build isn't as important?

      Make sure you use Credit Card payment screen, not pay-pal. Most cancellations happen when payment isn't authorised quickly enough and times out. Its still available, try again!

    I ordered the lego hogwarts castle. paid at 12.02am.
    order cannceled this morning. after talking to them and waiting for an emial reply, it was cancelled due to being a first time purchaser and the amount of the transaction.
    Since then, the website has changed and they do not offer delivery. Click and collect only…. and no store has stock.
    What a joke!

    No wonder they are closing Target stores… something seriously wrong with their systems when perfectly ordinary orders are cancelled…

    Ordered a couple of different small lego sets. Took the payment from my CC. Name on cc, order
    address all matched etc.

    Got an email this morning saying the order was cancelled (zero explanation). Had to call and wait on hold for 30mins to be told they are not sure why it was cancelled but was probably due to security "concerns" about the order but they didn't even know what those concerns were.

    1 of the items now sold out, put everything else back in my cart but used my husbands name (only change) and have now got a confirmation email with estimated delivery date but I am not convinced they will honour my order until it ships.

    Should not be this hard to give businesses money…

    I just got an email saying my order could not be processed and that it might take a week for me to be refunded. There was no other info in the email. WTF?! Does that mean the items were out of stock or that my payment failed?
