Never liked glass lids. Supposedly you can see better when cooking… except when it's all looking like this https://i.ytimg.com/vi/sodFdYFI0fE/maxresdefault.jpg I see something, but, hmm, I am not sure. And in case I do drop it, I will still definitely have the lid intact.
What are you cooking when you see that? I have the impact set and can always see through it when steaming or boiling.

Yea.. can't imagine many home cooks would need 3 saucepans and a casserole and stockpot.

Or youre not using them all at the same time, and they serve different purposes.
Or you need more than one pot for say ie: Steaming some veg, boiling another, and honey glazing carrots. 3 pots at least.
Or maybe youre not doing meat and 3 veg. Some people do a spag bol sauce in two pots.
You could boil a single egg in a casserole pot, but its inefficient.
My wife would use all those pots, just not all the time.
The commercial range is completely different which is what makes it more expensive, not just metal lids.
These have a lower RRP than the Impact set and is a slightly cheaper alternative or for those that think they will drop the lids often.
