If you're after a cricket game then for $5 you probably cant go wrong. The game is pretty glichy and a bit flawed but at that price you can still get some fun out of it.
I believe Ashes cricket is still available via Game Pass which is a much better game.
IF you're willing to spend a bit more money then the latest cricket game from Big Ant, Cricket 19 is much better. Its still pretty pricey but if you enjoy your cricket you'll get a heap of hours out of it.

Artistic choice. If they went the other direction and go for the realistic look to the players, it’ll look off-putting.
I’d say this art choice is more honest in my opinion.
Its meant to be an arcade style bash game and have OTT animations, kinda like what NBA jam had.
Plenty of other games for cheap too. Children of Morta, Sparklite for $5. Moonlighter, Escapists 1 & 2, Mutant Year Zero, Frostpunk for $10. These are all PS4. Can't go wrong at those prices.

The good thing is they have been updating the game regularly with new content as well, all for free so far. Here's a look at their roadmap with a list of things they're adding, all free except for the final one which will be a DLC expansion.

@Twisty: Not sure but I don't remember having any issues like that when I played it. I played the PS4 version though.
@Twisty: Did a bit of a search, impossible to know. They said they're working on it 7 months ago. Nothing since. Pick up any console version as both have issues.
@RocketSwitch: Yer I picked up the Xbox one even tho I have a PS4 too as it seems there were more issues on the PS4 version when reading but saying that I would say both versions would be the same

This game is horrid. I wouldn't play it if they paid me. Working would be more fun.
