Netflix Stuck Loading at 24%

Hi guys,

I hav e a Netflix family account which I share with some randoms off classifieds.

The agreement is that we all make one profile each on the account and have the log in on one device so it is only played at the maximum of 4 screens at a time. I am the administrator.

Sometimes when I go to play Netflix, it hangs at exactly 24% and won't progress. I can't figure out why, Google doesn't tell me anything.

Do you believe it is because other people with my log in are using all 4 screens at once or is it another reason?

It's infuriating as I set this up and I don't want people flouting our agreement so that I can't watch a movie when I want to.

I have decent NBN 50 so I it's not an internet issue.

    other reason. you'll get kicked out or get “Too many people are using your account right now” or “Your Netflix account is in use on too many devices.” error messages if that was the case.

    have you tried using it with your mobile data? another device?

    What device are you using? If its on the computer then clear your cookies and cache, Also try it in incognito mode. If your watching on an Android device or Android TV then clear Data and Cache is the app section of settings.

      The Tv will likely have a restart option in the settings. It's not just turning off/on, but will reboot the TV without changing any settings (my Sony one is well hidden in the "about" section of the menu)

    • Do you use a VPN? or any kind of location spoofing?
      I found a while back i was having same issue on my TV when i had the expressVPN settings on my router. Changing to the VPN app on the tv (My tv is an android TV) fixed the issue for me.

    • Do you have a Hisense TV? Mine does as you describe on the very rare occasion.

      I can always fix it in a few seconds by pressing the Youtube button on the remote, wait 1 second until Youtube splash screen appears, immediately press Netflix button on the remote, select continue watching and it'll then load the title properly 100% of the time.

    So only happens sometimes? For the same exact content (TV episode or movie)?

    • Nah, it's been happening lots recently. Any content, even trailers ..

    Mine would freeze at 25% if the connection wasn't up to scratch. FYI

  • Mine does this from time to time. Samsung TV using Netflix app.

    Usually one of these fix it
    turning the TV off at the power point for 10 seconds
    Turning the internet router on/off
    Signing out of Netflix and back in again
