LG CX Wifi and bluetooth broken

Hi all
I just took delivery and wall mounted an LG 77" CX. Turned it on, tv works great, however the bluetooth and wifi card seems to be broken.

Unable to connect to any wifi (off by default) and the remote controls bluetooth function isn't working. Keeps popping up with an error that I need to enable bluetooth.

I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue as I've tried all software reboots / resets etc and nothing is working.

So now how do I go about fixing this issue. I can either

  1. Take a repair job on a brand new TV and let them fix it and see what happens.
  2. Speak to the good guys and try to push for a new TV, failing that ask for a full refund of the TV and try to buy another one later.

Any thoughts on this guys?

Thanks

Take it back to The Good Guys and get a replacement. Use your Consumer Law rights if they get rude. Nobody wants to wait for a repair, lose warranty time and have a repaired TV this early, especially on such an expensive TV. Buy a premium product, expect a premium service.

    • Thanks mate. I'll push for this. They are giving me a bit of a run around needing to speak to LG first etc. Not sure what that is about. Either way i'll need a technician to come down to confirm there is something wrong with it so all signs point to that direction before I can get approval for replacement / refund / repair etc.

  • I had this on a Sony TV recently
Lodged a ticket, 3 days later guy came to my house and reloaded the firmware
    Solved

    • If they just reload the firmware and do a hard reset of the entire TV somehow then I'll probably take it. It just means it was a bug. If it's something that requires openinig the TV up im reluctant to keep it lol.

      • Don’t think you’ll have a choice, wouldn’t call it a major defect
