Hi all, received email from Dept of Transport DOT re this new regulation.
I am currently holding a F-ext on my licence as I used to drive Uber many years ago but not anymore. Just wondering if it's worth paying $28 initial application fee (waived if applied before end October) and ongoing annual $88 authorisation fee to keep it, if I don't see myself driving for hire or reward down the road? Will need to provide medical report and Nation Police Clearance every 5 years.
Wonder if there's anyone here in WA or interstate with the same dilemma?
I’ve kept an industry registration since 1999 while not working in that industry. I got it for next to nothing back when they were giving it away for free. Getting it now would cost both time and money.
