Hamilton H-10 Movement Watch Service Places in Sydney

Hi all,

As per the title, I have a Hamilton watch with the H-10 movement which may be in need of a service soon.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent place/person to take it? Feel free to PM if it's a person.

Also, I know the H-10 movement is based on the ETA-2834-2 movement, but, is it serviceable or is it like the Powermatic 80 where it will have to be thrown out and replaced?

Thanks!

      Please take this seriously.

If the H-10 movement is not serviceable, OP will have to throw away his watch.

      • You obviously haven't seen Hamilton.

        • I think I have. Maybe read my last line again.

          • @Luo18740: My apologies, can't believe I missed that!

            • @bdl: I probably could have worded it better.

Hello, Try Max Schweizer; https://www.maxswisswatch.com/ (just near Apple shop in Sydney CBD). They are really good.
Their website states they do Tissot servicing (of which your movement looks related to the Tissot Powermatic), but you may be best to give them a call and check about the H10 movement, and also get a quote (it will be hundreds of dollars I would guess for a service on a basic ETA; so check on this and make a call on whether it's worth it for you, that would be a substantial proportion of the original watch cost).

    • Awesome, thanks for the tip I'll give them a call.

      • Do you mind telling me how you went?

I've also got a H-10 and am wondering where I will bring it to service when the time comes.

        Cheers.

  • If you're near parramatta I recommend s&l as my dad took a speedmaster there and apparently saved a lot compared to what omega was charging
