The Great Deals of Amazon UK

So this morning, I noticed there is a bunch of expired tags with a large selection of cpus mainly, all about this loophole regarding Amazon UK.

While these prices were indeed damn cheap, I am curious to why the heck is the UK selling them so cheap anyway? Where did this 'bug' occur from anyway?

  • I have not looked, but I wonder if the price excludes the 20% VAT?

    • Commenters say Aussie GST is included when they brought through thier loophole. Only extra was delivery since prime isn't included.

    • Export items VAT can be claimed back by the seller but how easy it is I am not sure.

  • +2

Not really. In general everything is cheaper in Europe due to volume. No Australia premium. If you ever tried importing stuff to Australia you would know. Items that might cost 50c in China will get another 50c to $1 on top due to labour + storage etc.

    • really?

I have not found this ('generally everything is cheaper in Europe') to be the case for many items; especially technology such as computer components and phones.

      • Not really.

        A bug.

Generally cheaper in Europe. Even return flights to Oz. After exchange you'll find flights were $100 - $200 cheaper for exactly the same flight.
