In Need of Some Help - Speaker Logitech Audiohub No Sound Windows 10

Hi all, hopefully someone out there is knowledgeable with sound drivers for an old speaker. I dug out a pair of speakers that I had in storage for quite awhile whilst setting up working from home. Kept it more for sentimental reasons as it was given as a gift by a bunch good old Uni buddies.

Problem: Logitech 2.1 Audiohub usb speaker bar ~ some where around 2008/2009. Connected to a laptop running windows 10. everything lights up and device appears to be recognised but no sound comes out. Volume control on the speaker works and controls the laptop volume. Tried the speaker with an mp3 player and that was ok. There is audio in port as it is USB only.

Is there a type of converter cable (audio out to usb) that could work if drivers are not going to work?

Could not find it on the logitech home page anymore

  • Plug the speakers into the pc.

Click on the speaker icon in the toolbar on the bottom right.

What does the popup text say above the volume adjustment slider…?

    • it recognizes it and installed a driver. It does say Audiohub which is the name of the speaker; just no sound comes out

  • Have you selected those speakers to be the output device?
also not everything is compatible with 10… Drivers?

is there a model number on the speaker?

    • Model number: S-00041

  • +1

    Are the speakers broken.

    • Stop this logical rubbish 😉

    • logical question which did think at first but it recognizes when it's plugged in and installs a driver in windows 10. If it's too hard/complicated, it might be time to let it go..

The instructions under “windows vista” might help? If you’re using them for background sound, can you just plug your phone into them? Or if you want it just always playing find a el cheapo phone off eBay that will run Spotify.

    • I was hoping to use it as a laptop speaker which was what I used it for on another PC running windows xp many years old

      • Did you try those instructions? You need to select USB as the audio output and make it default.

        • I couldn't find instructions in that link. But it did select the 'audiohub' as audio output and set it as a default; no sound but volume control works. I don't really have a way to test if it's physical problem with power since there is no audio in port
