Is DJI Tello a good start-up drone with Camera?

Hi all
I'm looking forward to buy a drone for 10 years old and was wondering if DJI TELLO is a good option looking for a drone with a reasonable quality camera so I guess 720 p should do it?

Yes and no. It is cheap so if it is lost not terribly bad. You can't fly when there is wind. The video is fairly wobbly as there is no gimbal or stabilisation.

But it is so light (next to) none of the CASA rules apply.

  • Pretty good present for a 10 year old.

They're not as easy to fly as other DJI drones though.

  • For a 10 year old, yes it's an appropriate drone. Camera isn't great, but the price is right.

  • Is it their very first drone?

    • Yup, although more of a for me to learn drones ;)šŸ˜›

      • Maybe get this one…and a sacrificial $20 cheapie drone to take the first few crashes.

  • Get this drone, donā€™t be deterred by the noise of the ā€œknowledgeableā€. Itā€™s stable and easy to fly, perfect for kids. Most importantly itā€™s a cheap way to figure out whether you are into drones. Get a second battery as it only lasts about 7-12 mins of flying.
