Does ALDI Sell an Extended Warranty on Their TV's?

Was wondering if ALDI does extended warranties. Looking at the 65" TV they have going this Saturday.

  • It's near impossible to get it.
    People run and push.
    It's not worth the stress.
You line up 2 hours early and still miss out.

    • Should be fine this time as they have Quilton Toilet paper on special :-)

  • No

  • ACCC/Fair Trading might consider that 24 months is an appropriate period for a consumer guarantee (i.e. warranty) rather than the 12 months ALDI provides with this TV.

Products must be of acceptable quality, that is:

    safe, lasting, with no faults
    look acceptable
do all the things someone would normally expect them to do.
Acceptable quality takes into account what would normally be expected for the type of product and cost.

Perhaps use a credit card which provides an extended warranty.

    • Just did a search on that. Never heard of it before, do now.

      • FYI, Aldi charges a Credit Card surcharge where its rivals don't

In all honesty it's not worth it. People go absolutely feral for these TV's when they're no different to any other generic TV on the market.

I picked up one of these a while back. OK quality and gets the job done, obviously not Sony or LG picture quality but OK nonetheless.
