40% off All Single Visit CAD/CAM Porcelain Tooth Fillings Saving You up to $600 (St Lucia, QLD)

23

What an incredible opportunity to replace those old silver amalgam fillings with real porcelain restorations at a fraction of the usual cost. These restorations are designed in office, milled from blocks of tooth coloured porcelain and bonded in place in a single visit. They are as strong as tooth enamel so you don't have to worry about them wearing like composite resin fillings (which have a life expectancy of only 7 to 10 years). With porcelain restorations you can expect a lifetime of use with proper care.

Considering that dentists can effectively charge anything they would like to charge without regulation, I don't think this really qualifies as a bargain, best to shop around first.

  • FYI Typical porcelain fillings range from $1200-1800 per tooth

Mate, you're dreaming. FYI I'm a dentist practising in Sydney.
Inlays/Onlays to crowns range from about 600 to about high 1000's depending on the practice and size/difficulty of the fillings. CAD/CAM inlays/onlays should be NOWHERE near the high 1000's mark unless they're beautifully tinted and fired.

      • so tell me how much is it the cost for crown in your place?

        • Call it about 1400-1500 for a all ceramic crown done by a person in a lab.
CAD/CAM is good, don't get me wrong, but in general the overheads are supposed to be lower with something like CEREC/E4D, especially if you're doing inlays/onlays.

I work for someone, so I generally charge in line with the rest of the practice.

        • I guess $1500 is about right for a suburban practice.
In the city, dentists charge approx $2300 for a full crown (lab fabricated).

you're a dentist and you're on Ozbargain. Something doesn't fit

        • nothing is impossible mate. what you need just to believe :)

        • Not the only one, and just because I'm a dentist doesn't mean I don't like being a bit thrifty.

  • I had my CERECs done while I lived in Russia for $200-300 each at a very nice private dentist … Can't compare on price of course but they have certainly been hassle free for the past 5 years.

  • crown cost me $1200, insurance only cover 650, left me 550 out of pocket.

    • Crown cost me $2500, out of pocket $1500 at Milton QLD.

      • is it two or one tooth?

        • Just one crown standalone, is a big tooth though chipmunks like.

        • i did big one as well, still the same cost 1200, is it included root canal treatment as well? the root canal it cost me $600, after claim from insurance out of pocket around $150

        • Yes root canal is included I think root canal was about 400+ worth out of the total.

  • And loose my pirate status , no thanks!

  • Ok I have to NEG this, saving $600 from WHAT !!! You can claim you are saving me $5,000 for all I know from a $10,000 bill!!

    • If the max saving is potentially $600….. and that is 40%…. then the potential max total should be $1500.

      • On OZBargain we shouldn't have to speculate just like every other rep. that posts here. Will be glad to un-neg if they confirm what the $600 saving includes/covers. From my experience there is always an add-on.

        • I guess, until they look at your teeth, it would be difficult to put a cost, as I assume all teeth are different. Some would presumably need more work than others.

I suppose they've given a 'worse case scenario'

The only cheap thing about this is the cheap advertising.
