Spam Messages from Same Person, Two Accounts, Gumtree

I am soooo triggered. This is sooo annoying, I keep getting these strange messages from two accounts, likely same person as they act the same and accounts made in 2020

Now I have sold the item, removed the ad yet they still try messaging me and bugging me

I have flagged them and I cant block them… not looking to delete my account since it has good ratings on there.

Really no block or anything for gumtree? I just messaged support but dont think they will do anything..

the item i was selling was not even broken or fake so it seems more strange unless they did that to try get it cheaper

    You can delete the conversation and put a pause on your listing, he won't message you with the same it as least

        Have you delete the conversation by any chance? Click and hold onto the message and delete it

              It's true for the app/website, but I think you can still reply to the emails … probably a bug that the emails still work.

    Another way is accept what he offer set a time and public place and let him go and meet the no existence you there, waste home time. I think it should be enough

    You need to delete the conversation, otherwise they'll still be able to write in that convo even if ad is removed or sold.

    Either do that, or return the favour and annoy the hell out of them back.

        Are you just guessing? Because I'm talking from experience.

        He might be able to start new convos from other ads, and he can see the existing convo, but he can't reply or write in a convo that you have deleted.

    Tell him you are in negotiations with another buyer (also him) and that he must beat that price.

    but i agree with you Gumtree is rife with scumbags, scammers and drainers it is the hidden tax of doing business on gumtree

    Do the ultimate savage and tell them you can sell it to them for xxx (super cheap price) tell them they need to meet you somewhere far y location at 7am then dont turn up lol

    I think on Gumtree you need to do 4 messages with seller to neg them. Did you piss someone off from a recent sale or interaction and this is payback from them. If not just ignore. Delete convo.

    Don't use the app, you could use email only and make a rule to skip inbox and send it directly to trash
