I need to regularly (around a fortnight or every 10 days) fly to and from Brisbane from Cairns, sometimes on a short notice due to personal reasons (work in Cairns, family in Brisbane).
Unfortunately, this is an out of pocket expense.
What I have found so far.
- Jetstar is generally the cheapest option. When buying tickets at least 14 days ahead the price will be around $100-120. Less then 14 days in advance tickets are usually very expensive.
- One can buy Jetstar tickets using Webjet or Flight centre, however, their options are usually about 5% more expensive compared to buying directly of Jetstar website.
- There were some great discounts on Beat That Flight, however, their current prices are significantly more than directly of Jetstar website.
Are there any options to save on this? Currently, large amount of my wage is spent on that travel.
