Sendle Damaged Tablet, Invoice Showing Names

Well unfortunately I sold a tablet on ebay and sendle completely smashed the screen. Now I am trying to log online a refund thingy but it asks for a sales invoice showing both my name and the buyer and I can't find it.

I ask the buyer to send it back. Hopefully they can use the refund thing via paypal

Last time I use sendle and ebay for electronics, too risky.

I ask the seller to send it back.

    I'm guessing you mean buyer?

Yes sorry lol, I will fix that cheers
Thing is if I initiate via ebay I will also need to pay the return cost. Also my question is more related to the sendle insurance, as they want an invoice showing our names. I can't find anything about that in either paypal or ebay.

If you go to My eBay >> selling/sold>>where the item is hit “view order details” then “printer friendly page”. It shows the buyers name and address as well as your eBay ID. Then click where it says “G’day <your name>” and your full name and eBay alias is there. Now screenshot the entire page.

I’m not sure if there is a easier way to get eBay to generate a invoice but that might satisfy sendle?

    • Thanks mate, I appreciate it. I am so frustrasted as you can imagine. Usually I sell on Facebook and just do cash and pick up, I will have to go back doing that. I am really worried as sendle are famous for trying not to honours refunds. Never again, not worth the risk.

On ebay website, right top corner,

    click My eBay
    click Selling/Sold
click middle left, Orders, All orders
at the order, click the small down arrow, click Print Postage labels or invoices
select Invoice for your own records

This will print the invoice page with your details and buyer's details.

    Hope this helps.

    • Thanks,
I don't know why but I cannot find this option somehow..,..

  • I refunded the receiver anyway. No point getting it back as pretty much destroyed. I just took the screen shot and they showing my name. What a waste of time, hopefully they will refund me. I will let you know what happens. I will never send electronics ever again, is way too risky unfortunately.

  • Sendle strikes again…

  • To be fair, if you packaged it well then it should Be very hard to damage the screen even you try.
Next time wrap electronics with PLENTY of foam wrap, bubble wrap and fill any gap in the box with crumpled paper.
Always assume parcels get tossed around in the warehouse. It is standard practice.

    • I packed it very well. In original box with extra bubble wrap and in a padded bag.
They just don’t give a toss that’s the problem. Never again

How do you know the buyer didn't do a switch and send you a photo of a broken iPad?

        • That’s a possibility. Anyway they said they sent it back (I already refunded them). From the correspondence they seemed genuine.
