What Usenet Service Providers and Indexers Do You Use?

I know the primary rule of usenet is not talk about usenet, but I am trying to figure out which providers and indexers to use?

Currently I use newsgroupdirect and NZBgeek and haven't really explored other options.

Also are the private invite only indexers worth it?

It looks like two people have already reported the post for this reason.

Or you could just support the developers or producers if you like their content. Rather than stealing from them. No one likes working for free.

Crazy concept, it's possible to do both.

Sadly not many places are actually selling media any more, mostly they have moved to rental options. The "buy" option on a Google Play movie, for example, does not let you download a video file - your ability to watch is contingent on having a recent connection to Google's server, them not relinquishing the distribution rights, your device still being supported when they upgrade the authentication protocol, etc.

I can understand the motivation to want a permanent copy of something that one has paid for.

Maybe have a dig around Reddit…

    • Thank you, might have to sub to the r/usenet sub

      • Seems a better place to start than Australia's foremost bargain sharing community.
