This game is ranked #203 on BoardGameGeek and the lowest price all time according to Board Game Oracle with a RRP of $84.95 and other places selling for around $65 + Shipping.

Space Alert is a cooperative team survival game. Players become crew members of a small spaceship scanning dangerous sectors of the galaxy. The missions last just 10 real-time minutes (hyperspace jump, sector scan, hyperspace jump back) and the only task the players have is to protect their ship.

    Yes, I like it, but you're gonna need some like-mined people to play it with.
    It's a bit awkward because you need a stereo to play the included CD on, but these days we have bluetooth speakers and you can rip it to your phone.

    Yep, it's a bit of fun and chaos for 3-5 people, which poses quite a challenge for co-operation.

    It's an intense 5-10 minute "play session" where you blindly react to the current game state with "commands" then a 10-20 minute resolution when you find out what actually happened by playing out the commands with a set of rules.

    It's funny to see how people say they'll do something but don't end up doing it, and people bumping into each other.

    Close victories are what make the game a load of fun!

      Thanks for the detailed review. Don't think it's the right fit for my game group … or at least for the moment. Have too many games. Definitely need to do a cull at some point.
