WD PR4100 for plex

has anyone used a WD PR4100 for plex it seems to be that you don't need to pay for a plex subscription. Is it worth it?

I would need to stream 5 to 8 users at 1080p only.

Is this overkill?

Will you be transcoding any streams or just direct play on the clients?
