Mavic Mini Owners: Have You Been Experiencing The Same Problem?

Hi everyone,

I got a myself a DJI Mavic Mini a few months ago when it went on sale and have only just got the time to fly it outdoors. After my second flight, I've noticed that one of my mini's front right blade got dented but I'm pretty sure I did not hit anything. Nevertheless, I changed out the blades without thinking too much about it. After my third flight, I have noticed that the same blade (front right) got dented again and I'm certain that I did not hit anything. After investigating the mini, I realised that there are some light scratch marks on its body near the front right propellers. So I did some research and found some forums saying that this is quite a common issue and is possibly a design flaw, as the mavic mini is so light and there is too much flex on its arms causing the blades to hit the body. However, I find it strange that it only occurs on the front right propellers. Anyways, I contacted DJI support and they asked me to send it for repair.

Poll: Have you experienced the same problem (Propellers hitting drone body) with your mavic mini?

I would like to know was it also the front right propellers and did DJI successfully repair the issue.

No problems but i had mine flew away 😂 so DJI sent new one.

    • Oh how come, did it not automatically return to home? Do you need to buy DJI Care in order for them to send you a new one?

      • Idk it malfunctioned and i have dji care but this claim was not part of it since it was an error with aircraft and not pilot.

    • Interested to know how you got a new one too

      • I sent them my logs and warranty claim was approved.

  • mine all good

  • Have a look on youtube, there is an issue with the case design squashing the rotors making them strike the body of the drone coupled with a new software update making the drone sensitive to overspeed rotors and throwing an error. My blades aren't hitting the body, but are deformed enough to give an app error. TLDR: Don't use the supplied case.

    • That's interesting, do you have a link to that video, I can't find it. It's sad to know that it can't even be stored in its official case….
