Angus & Robertson Get 30% off Books, CDs and Calendars PLUS 10% off DVD and Blu-Ray

270
AR-WD1030

Just got this in the e-mail.

"Enter voucher code AR-WD1030 at the checkout to claim 30% off books, cds, stationery and calendars as well as 10% off dvds and blurays!

HURRY, ends midnight 21 October."

I don't think the 10% is stacked on top but you can always try!

Received some flak in the past for posting A&R discounts but here's an example from yours truly on how its compared to international sellers. I pre-ordered the Steve Jobs Biography (Hardback) a while back from Book Depo UK which was the cheapest on booko.com.au at the time for $23.01. Right now at A&R it is $33.99 and with the 30% off comes down to $23.79. A couple of cents more expensive but cheaper and with local/faster shipping. I just checked booko again and the cheapest is $27.19 from Amazon US whilst the Book Depo version which I bought is now $31.41 for some reason…

Booko links for US and UK published versions respectively:

Enjoy!

Borders.com.au also has the same offer, though the code is BA-W3010D.

Thanks Garyyy, just pre ordered the official Skyrim guide collectors edition for $35 from borders.

  • Good job on the comparison, if only Borders had sales like these all the time, they might not have gone into receivership.

Borders had sales like this all the time. The problem was that the original price was set so high that even after the discount, it was cheaper to buy from overseas.

    • Actually, Borders did, but Angus & Robertson didn't. So neither benefitted from taking either position. This was before A&R bought Borders.

  • Thanks bought book 5 for Game of thrones. Was cheaper than Borders

  • Sweet, just pre-ordered Inheritance for $14

    • nice, that's a good deal. You'll get it quicker as well

You do know that Dymocks has a 60-day return policy right? ;)

  • Thanks for the code. Kudos to u.

Even with the discount, their prices are still hgher than Amazon or Bookdepository.

  • Was looking at one book (1Q84 by Haruki Murakami).

Borders is cheaper by $1. $38.95 vs $39.95.

Considered the ebook version. Borders lists it as out of stock and A&R lists it as $29.95.

Amazon selling the eBook for US$9.95.

Kobo have the ebook for $10.44 using the coupon FirstRead(35% off) or giftread(25% off) will reduce it more that's assuming you haven't used those codes before as they are one time use only.

      • I just bought it with the FirstRead. But having issues synching it with my Kobo app on the iPhone. All the other 'free' books I got are showing up but not the purchased one! WTF?!

        • Have you upgraded to IOS5? I don't read on my phone so don't know much about their App but I did see mention on mobilereads that IOS5 causes issues with the kobo app, perhaps raise a support ticket with them(this may take a few days for response) or try their facebook page I believe the respond promptly there

        • Stanza is broken on iOS5. But Kobo app works on iOS 5. Have already email support. :-) Might try their FB page. Thanks Melmac!

  • can someone tell me why david guetta cd album is $52.95 at A&R, and $22.95 at borders?

I think you should ask A&R. How would we know? xD

  • Great — made the Margaret Fulton Encyclopedia about $24 cheaper than the closest match on Booko. Cheers.
