Where Can I Get Unsalted Potato Chips?

Where in Melbourne can I find unsalted potato chips? I'll settle for extremely low salt to too. Outside Melbourne is also fine if they ship.

Tyrrells lightly sea salted probably has the lowest sodium content. It could be found in all major supermarkets.

These ones are SO good, I don't know why other companies poison their chips (and us) with so much salt.

      • Their cheese and onion ones are fantastic

Yeah, the "Mature cheddar and onion" is GREAT. Much better than Smith's. Way better texture and crunch AND obvs better flavour. I only buy them however when they're on special, around $2.5 is the cheapest I see

      • Big Salt.

    • Thanks mate. Going to give this a try.

    make them yourself

    • Freshly made potato chips (i.e. crisps) are so good, highly recommend this to the OP.

    • Thanks. Mine turn out unusually oily after frying. Must be doing something wrong.

Dunno, but if you microwave very thin potato slices sprayed with some oil you may be surprised by how crispy they turn out and how well they resemble fried chips.

    • How long in the microwave?

        48 minutes :)

      • A few minutes - longer than you'd expect for thin sliced potatoes. Just check them. They will firm up more after being out of the oven for a minute. Also don't stack them so they touch - that means you can't do too many at once unfortunately.

Try YouTube - I'm sure there will be examples - it's how I first discovered it.

    • Will definitely give this a try. Thanks.
