I'm looking for a nice modern automatic soap dispenser. I would prefer it to look fancy, perhaps a modern stone or wood design if possible.
Any suggestions?

do you know if you have to use a particular type of soap with these foaming machines.. or you can refill with regular hand wash soap
The Xiaomi needs a foaming handwash. They have their own refills but any foaming handwash sold in Australia will work fine. I use Dettol with mine.

create your own foaming handwash, dilute normal hand wash by 50:50 or 60:40 with water depending on how thick it is. works for me all the time. And another tip, fill container upto 80% max

From the product description: "The soap bottle can be easily opened and refilled using 3rd party foaming refills." This is not entirely true, it's not at all easy to open the bottle to refill. I purchased a couple of these recently and when I tried to open the bottle to refill it, I broke the cap and it became unusable. This was only after two others were trying to open it while watching some youtube clips. So one bottle down. I fiddled with the second bottle for 20 minutes and managed to open it without breaking it. This thing is made by design to NOT be refillable. The workaround is very involved DIY. I managed to shave the plastic edges of the bottle with a sharp cutting knife so that the cap can come off easier, but I was very close to self inflicting serious cuts to my hands as it's made of hard plastic. The unit works well, the dose volume cannot be adjusted (3 weeks now).
I bought a few from Amazon similar to this and it works pretty well. I love that dispensing volume can be changed and it uses regular hand wash (not the foam type).
