Costco - Lidcombe or Marsden Park

They are both around the same drive time for me according to google maps.

Is one store better than the other or pretty much the same?

Marsden park had a confirmed case recently. Could equally happen in Lidcombe though. Avoid if you can unless absolutely need supplies.

Lidcombe is quite comfortable to shop and layout is pretty good but parking can be a nightmare on weekends. Once you're parked, make sure to grab a trolley before you go up the ramp to the entrance as there aren't any up there.

  • Auburn has a multi-level car park so a pain if you need to take the lifts or the ramp.

  • Marsden Park has an IKEA 90-seconds drive away, unlike Lidcombe which is like a ten minute drive or so.

And a case of COVID-19, as pointed out by other commenters.

and the other one is in Casula - within minutes of the Crossroads hotel

  • Lidcombe one doesn't have a fuel station. So if you are planning to tank up, then Marsden Park is the better option. Also, I find MP better in terms of parking and getting trolleys in and out.The biggest +ve (other than corona) is the smoother traffic at MP.

  • it depends… if its really hot or raining… i go to auburn because the carpark is under cover, other than that its casula and if i need to got o ikea in the same trip i'll do marsden park and get one of the burgers dipped in a cup of cheese

    • Cup of cheese, wait..what?

there is a burger place near the costco at marsden park called burger point

where you can get loaded fries and burgers… they also come with a side of cheese dipping sauce literally in a large cup to dunk your burger in
