LG OLED Factory in Guangzhou Started Mass Production (Finally!) - LG OLED 48 CX

I know a lot of us were disappointed that the LG OLED CX 48" wasn't initially coming to Australia (great as a high end computer monitor!). LG just announced yesterday that they've started mass production at the new OLED factory in China (producing the 48"), which was delayed many months. Anyone have an idea as to when they will expand the international release of the CX 48" outside of the USA / UK to include Australia?

More supply can only mean better prices across all size ranges as well

      This was the official response I received after emailing LG:
      "Regarding the release of 48" OLED, we have already inquired about this with our sales team since we do received a lot of inquires about this particular size, however to set your expectation, we were informed by our sales team as well with our technical team that at this stage the production quantity of 48” is small, that only Europe and USA will get stock in 2020.

      This also means that the 48” won’t be much cheaper than 55” OLED – so it’s mainly a European model and will not be released either in NZ or AU market."

    More supply means lower cost - which means bigger margins. Why drop prices whilst demand is high and you have limited OLED competition?

    Last I heard the CX 48" isn't coming to Australia at all. Definitely not in 2020, so probably not until the next year's model at least.

    It has arrived in AUS. I registered my interest and just got an email today from LG offering the CX48" for $2,799 including Delivery, limited stock and orders between 8/10 to 25/10
