Just discovered Vision Direct, and they are WAY cheaper than OPSM for my Ray-Ban prescription glasses.
In fact, they are so much cheaper I thought I better check here to see if they're any red flags?

TLDR: they are fine.
Found them from a choice mag article which listed a few sites. I got my ran ban pair from them about 3 yrs ago. Luxottica more or less has a monopoly on glasses including owning RayBan, OPSM, laundman park. OPSM wanted $1100 & I got mine for $350. By law as Medicare pays them to do eye tests they have give you the test results of you request them.
Took about 2wks for them to be made as mine were only half rims. Postage took about 1.5wks. Came airmail for Hong Kong to Sydney in about 30hrs. Then auspost took just over a wk to get to Cairns.
Got them checked at OPSM cause my vision felt wrong. Spec wise they were exactly what I ordered but the OPSM lady had screwed up badly & put my as 2 power more than I was.they do this a lot…much up the prescription when you ask for a copy
Got a pair of Oakley and a pair of Boss eyeglasses from them, because they are way cheaper.
Had no issues.
Consumers in Australia are being ripped off by OPSM, BUPA etc because of lack of competition.
Never had any issues buying designer frames from them and then using the receipt to claim from health fund. But I prefer to use my own optometrists to complete the lenses as they will also adjust the frame for me in person to fit properly.
