      The interface is not the best, and the remote is laggy. Official firmware development has been stopped and it seems to have some issues connecting via HDMI to my housemate's Sony LCD TV as well (TV says unrecognized signal for awhile, and after a few automatic reboots it works again), I'd probably spend a little more and get a WDTV Live unit instead.

      I've got this and a WD TV Live. The Astone's interface is clunkier, but it doesn't have any trouble playing MKV and anything else I can throw at it.

      I've installed a 500gb 2.5" disk in mine and it's doubles as a standard portable USB drive, which is nice.

      For the money it's pretty hard to go wrong. Interface isn't WD-polished but still intuitive enough.

      Our deal comes with a free HDMI cable though…We're really already selling them at cost…I guess so are they?

      same price at mwave too, but slightly more shipping, and no hdmi.

      I have a couple of the AP300's which, whilst working fine, can be a little 'quirky'. Some people have had dramas with them, but so far mine have been very good. Never used the AP200 though.
