    • hi jv. Thanks for your comment. The day spa is at the Swissotel Sydney which is a 5-star hotel in Sydney CBD.

      • The hotel may be 5-star, but why are you stating the spa is 5-star… Who gave it the rating?

        • daisty gave the rating, any problem? do u know who gave the rating 5 star hotel at swissotel? i mean really know the company or a person that gave rating on every hotel in sydney? do u really care mate? :) lol

  • Ive stayed at the Swissotel and it aint no 5 star… The spa i have no idea..

  • Yes, Swiaaotel sydney is definatel only 4 star. It must be a self rated 5 star as it really would not qualify for 5 stars.

Not a bad deal but the expiration date (only 2 months to use) is no good.

  • Hi All… Thanks for your comments.

Firstly, I just wanted to clarify that I have not specifically said the day-spa itself is 5-stars. Day-spas do not receive official ratings. However, I have mentioned that it is located in a 5-star hotel.

It would be a fair assumption that the standards of any amenities within one of Sydney's best hotels would be superior to your usual street or shopping centre day-spa. The facilities at the day-spa are also shared facilities with the Swissotel (pool, gym, steam room etc)so the Amrita Spa is offering a superior day-spa treatment.

Secondly, as far as the Swissotel's star rating goes, it has not been given an official 'AAAtourism Australia' rating. However having said that, neither have most of the major hotels in Sydney (for example Park Hyatt, Hilton, Intercontinental and the list goes on). The custodian of the rating system in NSW is the NRMA and it appears that the vast majority of ratings have been assessed on unknown accommodation facilities rather than those that have well established reputations, for obvious reasons. This is not directed at any one in particular but it is also worth taking into account that star ratings are awarded based on cleanliness, facilities, amenities and services foremost. Many are under the impression that decor and 'quality' (which are completely subjective) are the determining factors.

On another note - this is a one time 'bonus offer' we are running and is valid for 3 months, not 2months as mentioned above. We also have other offers on at the moment that have a longer validity period for those that are interested.

By no means am I an expert on star ratings etc so I apologise if there are any inaccuracies!
Enjoy the great Sydney weather folks! Cheers!
