Advice Needed - Refurbished Desktop Suggestions for WFH Purpose

Hi all,

I'm planning to get a refurbished desktop mainly for working and general use purposes, tried to search on the site but can't seem to find any current deals so here i'm.

Any suggestions of where to start? just want to make sure the refurbished unit is in a good working condition and ideally with few months warranty.

I've tried ebay but there are just too many options… and if not ebay where should i shop? My budget is within $500, just for the tower itself.

    HP EliteDesk 800 G1 - 8gb ram, 128gb ssd, i5 quad core "renewed" - $199

    Could probably get an Optiplex for a bit more with a 500gb/1TB HDD and an i7

    Look for Dell OptiPlex 7040 on eBay. You should be able to find 6th gen i5, 8GB RAM and 250GB SSD config for ~$400; usually these have 3 months warranty with option to extend it. This PC should be able to take all office tasks you through at it. :)

      thanks for the advice, i've got few shortlisted. if there's no special for ebay deals i'm planning to buy it on the weekend

    Did the same eBay etc search a few weeks ago after old computer died - there are many choices for refurbished/recycled corporate boxes. Paid reboot-it.com.au $240 including interstate freight for an Optiplex 9020 small form factor i5 4590 with separate graphics card, 500gb, DVD, Windows 10 pro, warranty 3 months. Since successfully installed SSD from old system. Very clean unit and quite happy so far.
