McDonald's App Offers - Restaurants Opting out of Deals

Hi all

Has anyone noticed that some deals in the McDonald's app now come up with an error This Offer isn't supported at the Restaurant selected? I am still able to add the item at full price so they haven't run out of stock. I cannot select another "restaurant" nearby either because I get the same error.

Do McDonald's outlets now have the ability to opt out of people eating for cheaper?

  • Yes they do.
The franchise stores do not have to take part in the app offers.

This is the same with other fast food companies also…. Subway, Dominos, Crust etc do not force their franchisee's to accept coupons etc

    • Are my Macca's days over lol. Their normal prices have become way too expensive on their own.

Name and shame the outlets Guybrush57. I'm wondering which shops opt out of these things. I'm guessing the list is a little longer than just the airport outlets.

Albury, East Albury and Lavington. The two in Wodonga would accept it according to the map but I don't think border permits cover cheeseburgers.

Is this the $2 Kit Kat McFlurry offer?

    • $1 cheeseburger

      • With these offers it gives you the option to check Participating restaurants, and all near me seem to be participating.

Just saw your reply, maybe it is an Albury thing.

  • Like mcdonalds is the best and only place to eat at

    • I find their soft serve ice cream is better quality than Hungry Jacks. Can't beat a soft serve!

  • Could they be the app only offers ??? In which you cant order in the Mcdonalds itself only through the app

    • I tried the kiosk and the app.

  • They have the right to refuse but i have never had an issue the app deals if i did i would never go back to that maccers becuz it is like 90% of the maccers purchases i make…
