I was on the market for a portable projector and I have found the one…for me! This seems to be the cheapest for someone that ships to Australia.
Reviews on the XGIMI Halo are outstanding, and I can't find anything else as good for that price AND available in AUS.
Reviews about TobyDeals are….okay? I've heard good and bad but I guess I'll take the risk if it saves me a few $100.

**NOTE: Apparently it doesn't have full Netflix app support YET but they are working on the licensing? But it is possible to install a working apk via sideloading. Not completely sure if Netflix via the in-built chromecast can work (but I'm going to assume it does)

      I meant portable as in it has a internal battery and can be used without a power outlet for sometime.

    TobyDeals is fine. All the bad reviews I've read is the site not having stock of products and then giving a refund when that happens. That is as "bad" as I read. I ordered a Mi Box S the other week and it came under 10 days.

    Though yeah, decent projector in this range, this site has some great in depth for a few of these small ones, scroll down to see the English version, but honestly most important is just looking at the chart with the measured contrast and brightness and making sure is using a native 1080p chip.

      They are at least 30% cheaper than any other source for many products, including international ebay. How is it possible and if you're ordering something you need can you count on them?

        The website is based in Hong Kong, and in general Hong Kong just get technology stuff cheaper. The reason they're still cheaper than the international ebay sellers is that they're just not putting crazy mark up on the items.

        So Tobydeals is already making $100ish (minus postage) selling it overseas. On top of whatever the profit off their original cost price is.

        Try to search for a few other products on that Price website and see for yourself how cheap it is to buy branded tech stuff in Hong Kong.

    I think Xiaomi formovie dice is a cheaper alternative.

    This is the upgraded international version, have better brightness & specs pretty much on par with Halo. Around 800aud on aliexpress

      Comparing the features/ specs Halo is superior but the Dice is a pretty good alternative if you're willing to forgo those features for $363.

    The Xgimi Mogo Pro is half the price at $600 on the same site.
    As far as I can tell, the only technical differences are the lumens (300 vs 800) and the quality of the speakers. Neither are a dealbreaker if you're in a dark room and use audio out.
    The Mogo Pro is smaller and lighter too, which makes more sense to me for a portable projector.

    XGIMI quality is pretty good.

    I'm still using the XGIMI G3S since 2015, costed around $500, working well.

    Just bought a new XGIMI H3 from TMALL, better specs, same price range.
