Suggestion to all group deal owner: Dont give us "Please mention xxx when booking"....

Hi. please all the group deal owner especially who are into restaurants deal or services deals, could you please make a deal without "Please mention xxx when booking"…. ???
xxx = your company name

I mean, why they want to know we pay less BEFORE we arrive/pay? we happy to tell them when we pay (for record purposes) but not before, because we dont want them to treat us differently. we pay less because YOU offered it, not because we STEAL or try to make you bankrupt…

please ???

    its for that reason (having to tell them about the voucher before hand) that makes things uncomfortable for me that i steer clear of vouchers for food/restuarants deals.

    its the feeling of discrimination, and the headaches and inconviencience caused, i'll just stick with entertainment book :D

    unless they can tell us the real reason, i will assume the reasons to know beforehand are:
    "lets give those cheapskate people cheap treatment" "they pay less they cannot get best table" "pay less come weekdays not weekends"

  • Perhaps its sometimes for innocent reasons, like where a specific menu item is offered and the supplier needs to make sure they have enough on hand (ie a seafood platter).

    So far I have been lucky with the deals I have purchased, no difference in service but I have been restricting myself to places I am familar with :)

    • to me even if that was the case, it wouldnt be worth the risk

  • I don't know about letting them know when you pay. A lot of the restaurant deals now include a non standard menu item, like a chef's selection of tapas. They have to know about the deal or else they might bring the wrong thing. Or the bottle of "house wine".

    I hate the deals that specify ietms like chef's selection. I like the deals where it is $XXX of anything on the menu. I don't eat certain items and they will go to waste if I am forced to receive a chef's selection.

    Entertainment Book -> Group Buying sites for the very reason the OP mentioned.
