Anyone know if the note ultra 5g will come with dual sim with telstra?

    • +1

      I have a same concern

      • Do we have 5G??

        • Yes, also preference for the 512gb model. Current s9note is great with 512gb of storage.
Otherwise will wait for the Fold2, because that bigger front display compared to the first interation is way better.

      • I have the same concern.

          Username checks out

Just got off the online chat and technically, it does come with dual sim but in the form of 1 x eSim + 1 x Physical Sim only. No 2 x physical sim aka hybrid sim. Similar to S20 series.

      • Only thing is… No 512gb model. If I'm recording 8k video I'll be dumping it so much more often

        https://www.samsung.com/au/smartphones/galaxy-note20/perform…

        Footnote 21 & 22:
"Hybrid SIM tray only available on Galaxy Note20 Ultra. SIM card sold separately. Availability of dual SIM may vary depending on country or carrier.

Use of eSIM on Galaxy device may be enabled by software update or disabled in some countries where it is purchased. Availability of eSIM mobile plan may vary depending on carrier."

Why don't they list specs like a normal tech company - not some stupid marketing page where you have no idea what you're getting

        • But is Hybrid Sim is available for Note20 Ultra 512 version? Or is it only available in 256 version.

  • The new Z fold will be around $3000, i just don't see myself spending that much on a new phone that I'll get fed up with in a year, not to mention to stick with it 3-4 years so I can justify it's purchase/price tag. Not to forget the plastic screen (yes, the final layer, top layer that your fingers are touching is plastic). Question is, can it handle few years of even normal and cuddled, well looked after use, I don't think so.

      3k isn't bad. $125 p/m over 2 years.

      • We live in Australia, not America. 3k is outright price, on a 2 year plan telcos want you to repay the handset within first 10-12 months, so divide 3k on 10-12 and there's your plan, multiply it by 24.

  • It's time for me upgrade my phone and really looking forward in getting the Note 20 Ultra.

I haven't heard much of the fold 2. Is it anywhere like the original Fold would be like form factor wise? My sister has the original and I think it is a great device which can turn to a mini tablet (very handy) and it really has a premium feel to it.

Edit: Just saw some of the questions answered regarding the Fold 2 above me. How'd that happen? Sure it wasn't there when I was composing my post? ;)

the cost of flagship phones are getting ridiculously expensive….

    • Not really. Our dollar is wear and demand is sky high.

      • +5

I wouldn't call 72cents to the USD weak, 58cents back in march, now thats a different matter

      • +1

True, also some people comparing it to US prices as well, which does not include Tax (GST) etc..

    • +1

Disagree, my 512gb Note9 cost 2k all up over 24months or there abouts..

  • Free beans

Its like phone companies are running out of ideas….

was hoping for more on the Note 20, to the point I don't know if it should be considered the fagship phone in Samsung line.

    • No high refresh rate and no memory card expansion. I can't say that I'm not disappointed.

  • i am guessing no headphone jack?

    • You plug into a usb adapter instead

    • -1

      Poor people made that.

      • Simple, just don't buy the phone.

    • Yup, tell that to Apple iPhone user.

  • any preorder deals for tab s7?

    • Nothing is announced yet, but looking forward to seeing what it is too.

  • Anyone any idea whether Samsung Online reduce their prices much compared to other retailers over the next year or so?
Looking to use Coles Price Protection, but from what I see their Note 10 is still at original price, unless I'm mistaken?

    • rarely. When they do something, it's often a free gift.

28D is better. It doesn't have to be from the same retailer.

      • Yeah unfortunately I closed that and lost the insurance. Cheers

  • Did anyone's claim get approved yet?
