So I've read a lot of articles on the new Victoria lock down which is really sad. There seems to be a lot of comparison between VIC and NZ lock down style.

I spent 14 days in self isolation in a 8 m2 room with no toilet and then 6 weeks in level 4 lock down in Auckland.

I came back to NZ from a "high risk" country before managed isolation. My wife said she didn't want me at home as I could pose a risk to the kids so I stayed at my mate's spare room for 14 days, then went home after 14 days for a further 6 weeks.

      I got fired hence why I come back to Auckland.

            @lgacb08: Oh damn, I guess that would be it since all international and domestic flights are cancelled until further notice, considering they've basically stopped Virgin and that's going down under, I'm guessing you were working with them before they fired you?

      video games and alcohol. I level a diablo 3 character from scratch to 2000 paragons in 2 weeks and was going through a bottle of wine every night.

      sadly no. stay home dad. I applied for a couple of roles but they basically all said i'm over qualified.

      On the bright side, I get to spend a lot of time with my kids, which is very good. Still trying though.

          Cheers man. I sold my house to fund my study and ended up in a career that nobody wants. If i don't try to be positive, the rabbit hole goes down fairly quickl.

    Did you find yourself losing your sleep cycle or did you make sure to sleep at a certain time every night?
    What meals did you eat while isolating?

      • The bottle of wine ensured I got knocked out every night.

      • Whatever my mate cooked and left out of the door for me.

      What bottle of wine were you drinking, what was the price?

      • Penfolds, NZ$13. Can't complain.

      How is your mental health following it all?

      • Not bad, I was looking forward to coming home with the kids so glad the 14 days was over. There was time when my mate would sit outside the glass window and we would drink and have a chat.

          In the garden. Kidding, there was a seperate washroom in the other side of his house but I couldn’t use the main hallway so ended up just walking through the garden to the seperate toilet and bathroom.

    What's the sentiment in NZ about Coronavirus, social distancing, masks? Any resistance like we've seen her in Oz?

      During level 4 lockdown, the attitude re social distacing is quiet good, as far as I can observe, everyone did try to keep their distance. But some student still party in level 4.

      They didn't enforce on mask wearing so it's up to people to wear them.

      There's always resistance but mostly …. on the internet.
