2-in-1 14" Laptop Recommendation for School Kids

Looking for recommendations for 2- in- 1 14" Laptop for my school kids, 2 and 4 grades of primary school.

They will be using the laptop for playing Roblox, and other similar games, doing some drawings, internet browsing, learning to type, and similar activities for that age.

I have a budget up to $1500, and looking for durability, performance for the above tasks, and preferably light- weighted. Potentially to be used in high school, it has to be minimum i5 and Windows. Not sure why, but our high school preference is HP, but they are flexible in regards to the brand though.

Please share your personal experiences.

Thanks.

    Chromebook no good?

    • has to be Windows too, updated. Thanks.

  • So you're looking for a laptop that will last 8-10 years? That will be really difficult at any price point.

Not 2-in-1 but Lenovo is great for price to performance with ryzen 5 or 7.

  • Toga Toga.. Wait Yoga Yoga!

Dell Latitude. Business grade laptops. Search for Dell Factory Outlet Australia or look for reseller or ex govt/corporate stock like https://www.australiancomputertraders.com.au/.
HP Elitebook is their business grade line.

  • Dell Latitude or Thinkpad X / Yoga perhaps. You can also grab the last generation ThinkPad L380 Yoga's for $1.3k, while they are kind of behind the curve with 8th Gen intel they do include an active stylus.

Surface Laptops / Pro series is also on sale, but take note the pen / type covers are extras and not included.

  • Bought a ThinkPad L380 Yoga at the end of last year for my kid's BYOD, however it appears that it's currently more expensive than 8 months ago and the hardware is already outdated. Maybe the new Dell Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1? Currently $1,358.98 for i7-1065G7 8GB RAM 512GB SSD. Pen is not included so you'll need to fork out extra.

  • I'm looking for the same laptop, dell sales were good but the laptops has 1355x768 sceens and not 1080p
