    Anyone looking to get into chess, chess.com is one of a couple of good sites online that have resources to help you get better.

    For those who are starting from scratch I recommend some basic strategy tutorials, and then using tactic trainers to help you learn to view the board and check what all the pieces are doing.

    Droidfish android or stockfish ports for iOS for engine analysis. Learning, I would recommend Chessmaster 10th edition I prefer the lessons in it better than the newer Chessmaster Grandmaster edition. Chess.com has a lot of free lessons and tactics trainers too.
