Best NBN & Mobile Phone Bundle?

We've just moved to a place that has nbn and so I've been researching nbn companies and plans. My work has had a good experience with Aussie Broadband and so I've been keen to go with them, but then I got thinking about our mobile plans and was wondering what combinations people have that help them save money but still get good service.

Currently we pay $89 p/month for the formerly Vividwireless (now Optus) unlimited mobile broadband but the speed has been terrible since Optus bought them out. Our prepaid mobile plans are $30 a month (I'm w/ Boost and my wife is w/ Woolies). So what companies provide nbn and mobile service that might be comparable ($149 p/month total or less)?

Thanks for your help!

Boost $150/80GB x 2 /12 is $25 per month (must activate by 10 August though).

NBN 50/20 plans are typically $70-$80. Belong (a Telstra offshoot) offers the cheapest at $65, although support is, um, limited. If you can live with 30mbps speeds, their Starter plan is $55. Total cost all up $80-$90 per month…

    • Thanks MELso. I'll look into it.

      • you can get 50Mbps if your line can acheive it. it's just if you get in the 30's support won't help as it's acceptable and what you signed up for.

    I'd recommend Mate Commicate. https://www.letsbemates.com.au/nbn/
I went with them and it was so refreshing dealing with them coming from Telstra. Quick and easy to sign up. No contracts, Cheap prices, and $10 off if you bundle a phone plan.
If you go with Mate, use the referral system and use this link to pick a random ozbargainer who will get $50 credit if you use their mate code when you sign up https://www.ozbargain.com.au/api/referral/335

    • Riczter, this could be the go. Thanks heaps! Just what I was thinking, where you get a discount by bundling mobile w/ nbn and the mobile prepaid plans look comparable to what we're getting now. Cheers

Why does it have to be bundle? Belong NBN starter plan is $55/m, and although advertised as 30Mbps, it could go to 40+Mbps. Try searching for a thread here.

For mobile plan, it seems good already that you are with boost unless you have specific requirement.

    • Yeah, doesn't have to be. But figured i'm spending all this money with different companies, maybe there's a company who would give me the same for less to bundle everything.

  • If you're willing to sim slut every 90 days you can get your mobile phone down to $5 to $7 per month with 20GB.

No bundle can compete with this.

  • how much data is needed?
