  • I think Risen is slightly better but neither are great.

  • Suggest you look at the warranty t&c's.

If it is triggers some companies give you a panel (which is next to useless).

Are they going to pay for demounting and mounting of new panel & freight.

    is neither an option?

entry level, the new Jinko cheetah range is pretty good

    • if you can only choose one of the above, which would it be?

Gun to my head…..I'd find a different installer if those are the only two options he installs

  • So to people bagging out both of these panels. What is the real world life expectancy of them? Explaining why they are no good would help.

Because they are bottom of the barrel panels.
It doesn't cost much more to get something better and considering you're looking at a 10-20 year life span, buy something decent that will have a lower loss of generation over time, better warranty (and chance the company will still be around) and generally better build quality.

Also, installers that 'recommend' this level of gear are generally the ones that are quick to disappear or Phoenix and make any future warranty claims an issue.

  • I believe you spell it "ryzen"

  • Tbh, you can sort of judge the quality and experience levels that the installer provides by the products they use.

I went with a more reputable company called BeyondSolar, and they didn't even have the option for crappy panels or inverters. It was either good or great panels with solid reviews. Same with the inverter.

A company that has good reputation and is busy/loaded with jobs will generally choose good quality panels/inverters. It just saves them money and reputation in the long run by not having to send their teams back and forth in the future when things break and multiple warranty claims are made.

Do it once and do it right.

    Hi Leo
Risen is a reputatble supplier and it provides 15 Year Warranty. Its quality is quite stable in the years
Znshine solar is a bit new in the Market in recent year.

If I install solar for my house, I would prefer Risen.

Also, the inverter is the most important part in the solar systems. Make sure good panels go with good inverter as well.

    Hope it helps you.

    Cheers

    • Thanks AllianceSunPower, I am also leaning towards Risen due to that.
However, the 370W+ higher efficiency panel + total 6.66KW and the same 15 years warranty seems to sway me a bit.

  • Hi Leo
Regarding 370w, how about the brand Longi? If the price of Longi 370w is the same as Znshine 370w, you can also go with 370w.

As far as I know, the project for Singapore Airport was installed with Longi Panels as well.

Jinko 370w is also great. But I think the price would be much higher.

    Cheers
