Received the Woolworths catalogue tonight (for week commencing 26 Oct). There are some good buys I think, but the best for me is 4 share packs of chocolates for $9.
That's $2.25 each and well under half their normal price.
Refer to picture above.
Note that the Woolworths website still has last weeks catalogue on it at the moment. I expect that it will change over in the morning.

Choose from Crunchie (12 pack), Mars (12), Milky Bar (11), Milky Way (18), Freddo (20), Caramello Koala (12) or Smarties (11). The test indicates more choices too - but not pictured (ie. Whittakers, Hilliers, etc)

    Aldi is better with blocks for $1.99
    With chocs Safeway undercuts the manufacturers they stock by stocking their own branded items just below the competition - this is one reason I avoid them

      They're giving you more choice by offering you an alternative thats cheaper than the corporate fatcat brands…I do not see anything majorly negative about this

        There are issues with increasing private label (e.g. Homebrand, Woolworths Select, etc) stock, such as reducing variety for consumers and it can end up pushing out much smaller labels with no chance to even compete.
