  Alkaline… it’s alkaline… last time I tried to use Alkaline to my digital cameras, wouldn’t even last 5 shoots.

  And you said it’s BEST for digital camera????????

  if I ever need alkaline batteries, just simply head to my local reject shop and pay only $2 for 4

  I don’t want to pay $7 (w/ post) for 8 pieces of alkaline..

  Please post if you have something more useful and bargain…

    dear elcheapo,

    this is specially designed for digital cameras, different to normal alkaline batteries, not sure where you bought your "5 shoots" batteries from, but i can tell you this is DIFFERENT, hundreds have bought from us and no one complains (including some resellers), we are using them ourselves too! you haven't tried them, how can you say they are not good??

    i respect and appreciate your comments, we all should, that is what this space is for, but please allow others to have a fair go, and please do your homework before leaving comments

  thanks for taking time to reply, but please enlighten me, what is your logic here?? i mean, i am simply trying to run an honest and serious business and advertise in this space, and i believe i am doing it within the allowance of ozbargain's policies, have i offended anyone? have i affected anyone's business? please tell me, i am more than happy and willing to listen and adjust, but i have to know what i have done wrong to start with, don't i?? or if you simply don't like us, just say so, but why?? there is a reason for everything in this world, i am just struggling to understand why. don't get me wrong, i am not begging you, as i can go somewhere else to advertise, and you are not the owner or regulator of this site anyway (or are you?), all i am trying to understand is why???

    If you're looking for a place to advertise your business, this is the wrong place. There are specialized sites made for that. This is a site designed for people who are after absolute bargains on the Internet. They take their time to visit here because they want absolute and genuine deals off web sources and not to be bombarded with garbage advertising.

    If all store reps believe the products they are offering are bargains (when in fact you could find cheaper and better deals) and posted their deals on this website, can you imagine how infested this site would be with spam? That would simply deter people from visiting here, and I'm sure Scotty wouldn't be too happy about that.

    Let's face it, the batteries you're offering is clearly a no-name brand. Yes, they may have higher capacity than normal and they may be a popular substitute in China, but it's still a product that is never heard of here in Australia and is imported from china (and yes, i went googling) nevertheless. At $1 a pop, this is not a bargain and you can find better and cheaper batteries at other online shops. Batteries aside, even your previous deals were not really deals and like elcheapo, I personally have the impression that you are just here for free advertising.

      let's assume you are right for a moment, but why ozbargain's policy allows representatives from different organization to post deals??? if you or anyone else can tell me that we are violating ozbargain's policy or policies, i will stop right here and right now. i just honestly thought it was a good deal. well, fine, if you don't agree, just vote us out, that's fair, i can accept that, but no need to attack or insult or say anything untrue or baseless. if my listing is out because of negative voting, touch luck for me. i will find a better deal next time. but saying no name from china is not supposed to be listed here would be a little bit unfair in my humble opinion, maybe some of the positive votes you have voted on before (if you have) are also made in china too. are we all supposed to list only big names that are made in usa, or local or japan or anywhere you might prefer (or is there such things any more)? i simply don't understand the logic here, why allow us to advertise, and then allow people to attack as they wish and make up accusations without base??????? i just want to understand, and then i will be out of your hair for good.

      are you guys always this angry at something that is so insignificant? haven't you got bigger things to worry about like mortgage, petrol price, driving safely etc.? don't tell me this is the culture here………………….

        Hi all.

        First of all, thanks to pauly and others for providing good feedbacks. However please hold your fire when you treat the store representatives here. Yes they are here to advertise their business, but being "ignorant" does not necessarily mean that they are cold blooded spammers. Everyone is trying to make a living, but obviously some people have got the method wrong. There is no need to insult.

        As pauly has said that this is a community website. But then let me explain that "community" usually involves more than just shoppers, but sometimes there are also shop owners, as you can't find a great deal unless someone is providing them (gadgets don't grow on trees)! Sometimes the shop owner finds this site and would like to provide cheap products here, and they agree that would be under the judgement of the other community members from their votes. There are many other reps here — ShoppingSquare, MWave, ITBOX just to name a few from recent deals. OzStock has provided some excellent deal before, although definitely not this one…

        Now onto OzStock. I think the fact that your previous alkaline battery deal got voted down should be an indication that the members here don't like this kind of product (personally I never use Alkaline for digital camera except for the first pair that came with it, and never know anyone else uses them). Old deals should tell you what the members here like and what our members don't like. Always learn from history (which I am also trying to do all the time).

        Secondly, ALL CHARACTERS CAPITALISED IN THE TITLE means shouting and is not the most friendly way to write on a community site. I actually will add in a filter to force people rewrite their posts if excessive amount of capital letters are detected.

        Unfortunately we do have a tendency to vote down shops that we have voted against before, but then prejudice is just a human nature. We would love to give you a fair chance — so please post good deals.

          @scotty: thanks scott! you definitely have my attention! and for the right reasons!

          i apologize for the capital letters! i did not realize that would be bad, in fact, i simply copied and pasted from my own website, but will of couse watch that now.

          as for the deals, yes, i learn from mistakes too (i am only new to this website, but intend to be a good citizen!), will always try to post good deals (i thought it was a good deal today too but apparantly i was wrong!! which i admit unreservedly).
