Decommissioning an Old Heater in Rental Property?

Hi all, I have an old electric wall heater in my rental property, it's one of those heat banks/storage heaters, filled with heat bricks. Hasn't been used for years and has been decommissioned by an electrician, thermostat has been removed. Is it okay to leave this in the property or under law does it need to be removed entirely? Reason I ask is I'm a bit unsure about whether a tenant can request all items in the property be in working order (if I ever get a fussy tenant). It's a completely contained unit. There is an alternative source of heating in the property, I used to live there before renting it out and the old heater was non functional at that time anyway. Thanks

Leave it and just make sure the lease states it doesnt work

    • This. I have the same in my rental property. Just make it very clear that it doesn't work and won't be fixed, as I have had tenants trying to demand that I fix it even though it says in the lease that it doesn't.
When the current ones move out I am going to cover it
