Depends on what you are using it for. General riding, ramps/bowl, racing, freestyle, kids learn to ride bike.
You may be able to save some money by going to the L100. It’s virtually the same bike but almost $200 cheaper.
where to buy from the L100?
I guess anyone that is a Mongoose dealer… If the other company is selling the L500, they may have the L100 or access to them.
But it's weird. You have gone from a $800 bike, to a $2,500 bike and down to a $200 bike… If you just want a BMX, just get on Scumtree and there will be heaps of barely used ones for next to nothing.
I picked up a Kuwahara 24" race bike that had done about 3 meetings. It was $1,600+ brand new and got it for $300 because it "wasn't competitive anymore".
some stores do significant discounts % off for last year models.
Go old school and get an early 80's original. You would be surprised what you can pick up.
Also made in USA or Oz, not cheap CHINESE crap.
Looks like the mongoose is eerily bad quality. low grease.

Seems like the going price from $799 retail. Call store up and see if they can do any better or throw in a helmet. Worth a try.
