Worth buying at this price point??

Personally I would say no. They've been cheaper in the past and with the "refresh" model not too far away I'd expect this current model to be pretty significantly discounted after it launches. It's a great mouse and if you're keen to have one right now it's not a bad price but I'd suggest buying locally regardless to make warranty claims easier in the event of double clicking issues.

  • Thanks OP been hanging out for this at around this price. Just looked at checkout and they don't collect gst?

Are they shipping to Australia right now? I tried ordering through this place last month, didn't even ship for 2 weeks. When I inquired as to why, they said that Australia had blocked shipments from Sweden, but didn't notify me at all about this. I hope you're not in a hurry for a new mouse.

  • You can pick up the G502 Wireless for $199 from Mwave. From reviews, this G Pros plastic sides can bend when using a little bit of pressure.

$194 at Umart. Very, very different product though, much larger and much heavier on top of being a right hand only ergo model. I have both and the G502 is great for general use and work stuff but I find it unbearable to use for most games.

I would sincerely urge anyone planning to drop a load of dough on a high end Logitech Gaming Mouse to only purchase from somewhere where it is easy to claim warranty.
The switches of most high end logitech mice are dying quickly as in doubleclicking etc.

My mate is already having issues with his G Pro double clicking. He thankfully has warranty which he is planning to claim.

It is highly unlikely that it will last for 2 years without having switch issues.

    • My not so high-end G303 recently started suffering from the double-click on the back button. Unbelievable but blowing really hard into the mouse fixed my issue.

    • Most mice will have defects after 2 years of heavy use, it's a piece of hardware thats been physically moved constantly, 2 years is a fair lifetime

    • I bought a G502 back in November from JB Hifi. Returned it in May because the right-click had issues, new mouse lasted about a month before the same thing started happening so I returned it and got a third one which lasted about four days before both buttons failed. I'm currently on my fourth which has already having issues with right-click but since JB aren't doing returns while we're in stage 4 I'm waiting for Logitech to get back to me about doing a warranty claim through them.
Real good mouse but i'd never recommend a Logitech mouse to anyone after this.

  • My primary mouse, just wish was a bit slimmer/lighter but maybe with the next iteration.

Very much worth though, use it over my Glorious Mouse.

    • Pwnage supposedly have a symmetrical model on the way. Their current wireless model (Ultra Custom) is ergo but only weighs 69g so I don't think it's unlikely that the symmetrical model would weigh as little or even less and would obviously been much more similar to a GPW than the ergo is.

There is a new "RE FRESHED" version of this mouses coming out in a few weeks/month..
Do not buy this, HN will have these for a similar price again.

    • Where’d you read this from? Curious as well

Announced by Logitech's Japanese division (Logicool) on Twitter. There's a Japanese Amazon page up for pre-orders as well. From the info that's been released so far though it looks to be identical to the current model except that they've supposedly fixed the infamous double clicking issue.

    • This Japanese press release page: https://www.logicool.co.jp/ja-jp/press/press-releases/13495 (Japnese, or use translator)

As far as I understand, the highlights are 2nd Gen Hero sensor and further weight reduction to ~80g

Important though, JPN RRP is 18,480Yen = approx. A$250 AUD

so this may still be a bargain

  • G305/304 wireless deals under $50 are better value imo
