Indie Royal - The Launch Bundle, pay what you want sale (A.R.E.S, Gemini Rue, Sanctum, Nimbus)

Moved to Forum: Original Link

There is a Pay what you want sale from a new site called Indie Royale. It's similar to the Humble Bundle except the more people that buy the bundle the more expensive the minimum amount becomes. Currently the Bundle is $2.73 as of this post.

The are promising new bundles every 2 weeks. They keys are Steam or Desura redeemable and DRM Free (except for Sanctum)

NOTE: There are some issues with the Steam keys and they will fix them for people that purchased the bundle and future people that purchase it.

The games offered are

A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda
Gemini Rue
Sanctum
Nimbus

Every 10000 bundles sold and the guys will be giving away free DLC to Sanctum. Gemini Rue just came out on Steam and they are working on adding Steam keys to the bundle for everybody that bought it and for future purchases.

No set price, so cant be on the deals page, moved to forums

    • Humble Indie Bundles are on the deals page and yet they don't have a set price. I'm not really complaining as I found this deal through another forum, but I think it would benefit more people if it can be on the deals page. Furthermore, Indie Royale are from Melbourne.

    • This is not that much different from the Humble Bundle and that's allowed.

      • But it is different. The price keeps changing if more people buy, so at what point would it not be a bargain. I know its a different way of marketing. Guess like some of the coupon deals it just doesnt fit with the way things are set up here.

        • Fair point there. Just wondering how to make it fit.

What if the poster put up current prices for the games individually and the snapshot of the price?

I guess that could be a bit of a hassle but it might be worth it whilst it's still a bargain.

        • Yea I understand, and its a lineball call. But putting a set price that it was is the issue as the next person goes on and sees it higher and then what. Its like an auction.

If we see too many of these type deals it might mean the mods will have to make a call.

Then again those wise OZbers who read the discussion threads will probably save money as the site doesn't get flooded by everyone buying and pushing up the prices…

          A bit perverse really

        • Eh I think is a bit different. The price doesnt always go up, if you purchase the pack at the minimum it'll go up… but if you spend more than the minimum it'll go down. it's still a bargain regardless IMO as Sanctum and A.R.E.S by themselves are $10 each on steam .

        • +1

IMO, this is a deal. The price seemed to lower itself when someone made a purchase of $20 (1cent drop across the minimum price.) Nevertheless, the current price of $4.79 AUD for 4 Steam games will definitely constitute to a bargain. Sanctum alone is $9.99 on Steam.

Until the price hits above a value where buyers no long enjoy a substantial amount of saving, I'll say that we put it back on the front page to let everyone sees the deal.

        • Not sure I agree. I missed this as I don't scan the forums as often as it appears I should :(

  • New bundle, for those who read the forums (I don't - meh).
